The

Lions
Club International Foundation: Lions Clubs International (LCIF)
is the grant-making arm of Lions Club International. Through gifts
to LCIF, Lions can serve a broader community than they could on
their own.
Lions
Club District 24C: The Louisa Lions Club is a member of District
24C, which includes the Lions of Albemarle, Alleghany, Augusta,
Bath, Clarke, Fluvanna, Frederick, Greene, Highland, Louisa, Madison,
Nelson, Orange, Page, Rockbridge, Rockingham, Shenandoah and Warren.
The Clubs of District 24C also serve the independent cities in the
greater Shenandoah valley and parts of the Blue Ridge Mountains,
including Buena Vista, Charlottesville, Clifton Forge, Harrisonburg,
Lexington, Staunton, Waynesboro and Winchester.

Virginia
Lions Eye Institute: The Virginia Lions Eye Institute (VLEI)
Foundation was incorporated in 1979 and adopted as a District 24-A
project by the District Governor's Cabinet in 1980. The VLEI operates
as a separate entity with the co-sponsorship of the Inova Health
System. It is governed by a Board of Directors representing the
Lions Clubs of District 24-A, community ophthalmologists, and the
Inova Health Systems Foundation. The VLEI funds are used for the
purchase of equipment, community education, scholarships, and clinical
research. Further, the VLEI supports symposia and continuing medical
education for nurses and para-professionals in the ophthalmic field.
The VLEI recently instituted a scholarship award for sight handicapped
individuals.
Virginia
Lions Hearing Foundation: The VLHF supports research for deafness
and hearing problems in all age groups, the Cochlear Implant Program,
and a variety of other hearing-related programs and goals.
Lions
of Virginia Foundation: Prompted by the disastrous hurricane
Camille, The Lions of Virginia Foundation was founded in 1972 by
the Lions of Virginia. The Foundation focuses on involvement in
disaster relief, sight and hearing conservation and other areas
of The International Association of Lions Clubs emphasis, within
the Commonwealth of Virginia. The LOVF stands ready to respond to
request for assistance beyond the scope of the local clubs or districts.
